Today I am in the mood for some french toast. Not any french toast, though! A gourmet french toast. Filled with chocolate, topped with honey. Kissed by the lovely texture of frozen blueberries. Oh, my… We hope you liked the recipe and the video and if that’s the case – give it a thumbs up and subscribe to see more from our channel.

Let’s get to the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices of bread – make sure they are as identical as possible
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 100g chocolate spread and more for decoration
  • honey and frozen blueberries for decoration
  • 50 ml oil for frying

Instructions:

Add the cinnamon to the eggs and beat them until you get a smooth mixture. Add the milk and repeat. Heat up your pan to medium high heat and add the oil. Roll a slice of bread and cut the circles. From every slice of bread you should get 2 circles. You can cut them with a knife, with the help of a glass or if you have one of those fancy kitchen rings, please go ahead and make your life easier by using it! Pair your circles and roll them, put a teaspoon of the chocolate spread at the center and close by pinching the ends with your fingers. Put it in the egg milk mixture and right into the pan after that. Fry until golde brown and flip to the other side. Repeat with the rest of the bread slices. The leftover bread cut into chunks and dunk into the egg milk mixture, make sure you don’t overcrowd your pan though!

To decorate the chunks, make a bed of chocolate spread in your plate, place the chunks inside and put on some more chocolate spread. Top with blueberries or any fruit you have at hand.

To decorate the french toasts, add one of the french toasts on the plate, add a tablespoon of honey on top, add another french toast, top with chocolate spread and blueberries or again, any fruit you have at hand.

The fusion between the crunchy fried bread, chocolate and blueberries is unspeakable. The option to include honey in this recipe makes it unbelievably good.

The presentation of this so simple recipe will save you some trouble if you find yourself having an unexpected guest, like your mother-in-law for example! Ah, we’ve all been there. Jokes aside, this recipe is here to impress!
